Disabled Adults and Adopting

by lotek.nate101@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sep 7, 2007 at 01:55 PM

I have been getting SSDI (social security disability) for 23 months.
I have no children. I am 32. My fiancee' is 9 years older than I am.
She has a daughter who is 19. My Fiancee had a full hysterectomy a few
years ago. Now I have been thinking about how it might be nice to have
a kid of my own. Obviously my fiancee cannot have any more.

What are the views from agencies about disabled people Adopting ? Are
there any laws pro or con my situation?

Oh, before I forget, I have a seizure disorder. My fiancee is also
disabled with fibromyalgia.

I haven't gone any further than the "thinking about this" stage.

Any input is appreciated.
