Phase Plane Analysis :Need help

by Karthik <racherukarthik@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 4, 2005 at 05:58 AM

Hi,
I did Phase plane analysis for the following equation

0.1(d2y/dt2 )+ dy/dt + 10 = 0

The trajectories im getting are straight lines parallel to the y-axis
after obtaining the singular points at y = 0 and y = -10 .
(using the slope method i.e. letting (d2y/dt2)/(dy/dt) = A and
plotting for various values of A )And i have no equilibrium points .I
dont know if what i have done is correct .Can anybody tell me if it is
correct and if not the right way to do it ?
(plotting dy/dt against y from the equation)

Thanks
