If you're not participating in the Ripley's Freaky Fridays program
running at ePALS through November 19, here's what you've been missing:

-- Sue Volger, Science Teacher

be able to connect some of them through this program is great!"
-- Brenda Eve, 7/8th Grade Science Teacher

* On Friday, October 1, we talked about how volcanoes blow -- later
that afternoon, Mount St. Helens threw chunks.
* On Friday, October 8, we talked about how hurricanes form -- after
Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne raked Florida.
* On Friday, October 15, we talked with an insider about the scientific
work being done on Alvin, the mini-sub.
* On Friday, October 22, we talked about stem cell research and
cryonics -- hot topics in the news.
Ripley's Freaky Fridays is an online classroom companion program taught
by two Presidential medal-winning junior high school science teachers.
It's held every Friday through November 19 at ePALS Classroom Exchange
-- the largest collection of classrooms online (over 4,500). It's never
too late to join; so if your students want to have a load of fun while
learning to use collaborative technology, just send
mailto:steveokeefe@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
with the subject line "Send Freaky
Fridays" and I'll send back the instructions.
Have a Freaky Friday!
