They called me today and arranged for me to come in tomorrow. I'd
never had trouble getting through before, and they did leave another #
for an emergency, but I didn't think this was an emergency yet, so I
waited. He'll probably just order a blood test first, too soon for
much else. I'm a lot less worried now, and sort of convincing myself
this is for real :)
My prior appts with him were all rush, at least initially, as it was
when the whole ectopic was starting and I didn't have an OB. He was
wonderful taking me in immediately even tho I had no history with him.

Thanks! Technically this is my 4th pregnancy. I actually went to my
midwife (homebirth) at 20 weeks last time, which had been the plan all
along.I was only seeing the OB initially because I'd miscarried
before, and she wanted to follow me in the early stages to make sure
all was ok. Initially, she'd stopped doing deliveries, but then when I
got pg she started doing deliveries again. She was pretty pissed when
I said I planned to go back to my midwife if all looked ok with the
pregnancy. That's why I didn't have an OB when the ectopic came
around....I did get a great deal of respect and attention from my
midwife. This new OB is fabulous, recommended by a number of local
midwives and homebirth moms (it's the only practice in town which has
CNMs). I still plan another homebirth if all is ok, just will need
some close following to make sure this egg implanted in the right
place :)
