Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers!
On the radio a few days ago, Jarrod heard the story of how Father's Day
started. I will give you a paraphrase of what he told me from that.

Many years ago, a baby girl was born. She was the last of the kids in her
family. Her mother passed away when this girl was very young. This girl
was
upset that there was no day for Fathers.
The girl grew up, and became mayor of a small town, and declared one day
each year be set aside to celebrate fathers. Afterall, her father had
raised
her and her siblings single-handedly, and it was a nice tribute for him.
It grew from there to be national day :-)
Sorry if I butchered the story, but that is what I remember. LOL
Hope all the dads have a great day!... And for that matter, hope everyone
does.
As for us, we are celebrating by spending our first father's day in the
park
with our baby who turns 3 weeks old today!
